Fuzzy context-free languages - Part 2: Recognition and parsing algorithms
نویسنده
چکیده
In a companion paper [9] we used fuzzy context-free grammars in order to model grammatical errors resulting in erroneous inputs for robust recognizing and parsing algorithms for fuzzy context-free languages. In particular, this approach enables us to distinguish between small errors (“tiny mistakes”) and big errors (“capital blunders”). In this paper we present some algorithms to recognize fuzzy context-free languages: particularly, a modification of Cocke–Younger–Kasami’s algorithm and some recursive descent algorithms. Then we extend these recognition algorithms to corresponding parsing algorithms for fuzzy context-free languages. These parsing algorithms happen to be robust in some very elementary sense.

A Fuzzy Approach to Erroneous Inputs in Context-Free Language Recognition
− Using fuzzy context-free grammars one can easily describe a finite number of ways to derive incorrect strings together with their degree of correctness. However, in general there is an infinite number of ways to perform a certain task wrongly. In this paper we introduce a generalization of fuzzy context-free grammars, the so-called fuzzy context-free K-grammars, to model the situation of maki...
متن کاملTowards Robustness in Parsing - Fuzzifying Context-Free Language Recognition
− We discuss the concept of robustness with respect to parsing a context-free language. Our approach is based on the notions of fuzzy language, (generalized) fuzzy context-free grammar and parser / recognizer for fuzzy languages. As concrete examples we consider a robust version of Cocke−Younger−Kasami’s algorithm and a robust kind of recursive descent recognizer.
متن کاملParsing Non-Recursive Context-Free Grammars
We consider the problem of parsing non-recursive context-free grammars, i.e., context-free grammars that generate finite languages. In natural language processing, this problem arises in several areas of application, including natural language generation, speech recognition and machine translation. We present two tabular algorithms for parsing of non-recursive context-free grammars, and show th...
متن کاملFuzzy context-free languages - Part 1: Generalized fuzzy context-free grammars
Motivated by aspects of robustness in parsing a context-free language, we study generalized fuzzy context-free grammars. These fuzzy context-free K-grammars provide a general framework to describe correctly as well as erroneously derived sentences by a single generating mechanism. They model the situation of making a finite choice out of an infinity of possible grammatical errors during each co...

Data-driven systems can be adapted to different languages and domains easily. Using this trend in dependency parsing was lead to introduce data-driven approaches. Existence of appreciate corpora that contain sentences and theirs associated dependency trees are the only pre-requirement in data-driven approaches. Despite obtaining high accurate results for dependency parsing task in English langu...
